• NTUA will contribute in the participation of loads in the Microgrid operation as market players and will identify the necessary requirements (e.g. information exchange) the load controllers should meet for this purpose.
• Manchester: This task will investigate and develop local intelligence functions to be embedded into affordable microcontrollers used as schedulers of loads of local appliances. At the domestic level, various devices such as water heater, room heater, washing machine, dish washer, dryer, and other manageable loads will be scheduled to minimize the overall energy cost while maintaining the consumer requirements regarding the operation of the appliances.
